Cracking the Code Part 2: More about How the Government Buys Relocation Services
DescriptionIn fiscal year 2023, the Federal government funded relocations for over 32,000 employees and coordinated over 20,000 household goods and vehicle shipments. Although the government experienced a brief dip in volume following the pandemic, relocations continue at a steady pace because agencies have critical roles that must be performed in person. Providing services to the Federal government may seem a bit obscure, complex, and spoken in acronyms. This session will take the mystery out of how the Federal government buys relocation services and how agencies leverage the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) and the Centralized Household Goods Traffic Management Program (CHAMP). This session will help suppliers understand how they can provide services to the government, will help Federal agencies understand the buying trends across the government, and will help government contractors understand how they can leverage these programs for their cost reimbursable contracts.
